New Mass, Confession, and Adoration Schedule

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Greetings in Our Lord Jesus Christ!

I wanted to take this opportunity to communicate some very important information about the Mass, Confession, and Adoration schedule for the entire pastorate which will begin on July 1st.

The new schedule will be fairly similar to the current Mass schedule. After consultation with Bishop Hying, my brother priests working in our pastorate (Fr. Pedro, Fr. Osvaldo, and Fr. James), parish staff, and others, it was thought to minimize the changes to the schedule as we enter into the new reality of our pastorate. This is possible because we have been blessed with one priest for each of the churches that comprise our pastorate and the existing Mass times did not overlap significantly.

While this new Mass, Confession, and Adoration schedule will be in effect beginning July 1, it will need to be reevaluated as we continue with our Into the Deep Strategic Plan. As parishes are merged sometime next year, it will be important to recall some of the goals of the plan concerning our liturgies: 1) to reclaim the Sabbath and Eucharist as the center of parish life; 2) to have more than 50% of our liturgies at greater than 50% capacity; 3) to have better coordination between parishes with Mass times, Confession times, etc.; and 4) to have no more than 3 weekend Masses per priest. Thus, while this initial schedule is meant to serve us as we begin our pastorate, it will need to be evaluated and changed down the road to ensure we are meeting the goals of Into the Deep.

The notable changes are:

  • No TLM in our pastorate. All Traditional Latin Masses have been relocated to St. Mary’s in Pine Bluff and St. Cecilia in Wisconsin Dells. Those who wish to attend a TLM, please consult the new schedule of those pastorates.

  • The 4 PM Saturday evening Mass at St. Barnabas in Mazomanie has been canceled.

  • A new weekday Mass (Monday through Friday) has been added at St. Aloysius church at 7 AM.

Here is the new Mass, Confession, and Adoration schedule with times and locations:

Weekend Masses

Weekday Masses

Confessions Times

Adoration Times

Please note that at those Masses where I have noted that confessions will be heard during Mass, we will make an effort to have at least one priest available to hear confessions most of the year, but I can’t guarantee that there will always be a priest available.

Let’s continue to pray for the success of the Into the Deep consolidation process and for the future of our pastorate and diocese.

God bless,

Fr. Miguel.
