Update on Operation Mercy on Wheels - Your Generosity is Making a Difference!

Dear Mary, Mother of Mercy Pastorate,

Thanks to your incredible generosity, Operation Mercy on Wheels is well underway! We have already received a significant number of donations, including $5,430 in cash, to support the victims of Hurricane Helene in Black Mountain, NC. Brianna Krejchik, our fundraising coordinator, along with other volunteers, will be delivering these supplies personally to those in need.

Here’s an updated list of the most-needed items:

  • Sanitary Items and First Aid Kits: water test kits, nebulizers

  • Survival Gear: tents, water filtration systems, generators, camping stoves

  • Household Essentials: 5-gallon pails, fans, propane tanks, tarps, flashlights, and batteries

  • Comfort Items: pillows, sleeping bags (new), camping supplies, goggles, candy for kids

  • Kitchen Supplies: electric tea kettles, propane heaters, butane tanks, radios, duct tape

  • Non-Perishable Dry Goods (no canned food or MREs): flour, sugar, rice, beans, seasonings

  • Storage and Protective Gear: large storage totes, hazmat suits, chain saws and supplies, extension cords

  • Eating and Cleaning Supplies: paper products, plastic utensils, dehumidifiers, cleaning products, mops, rubber gloves, disinfectant wipes

  • Tools and Safety Equipment: rubber boots, shovels, tools, 2-stroke oil, bar oil, hard hats

  • Water and Bathing Supplies: large water containers, water wipes for bathing and washing hands, shop vac, carpet knife, rags

Donated items can be dropped off at St. Aloysius Church in Sauk City. We’ll be loading up the semi-truck, which will leave on October 25th or 26th. If you have questions or need a receipt for your donation, please contact Brianna at ibkrejchik@gmail.com or 608-408-0905.
