Young Adults Advent Potluck

"O King of all the nations, the only joy of every human heart;

O Keystone of the mighty arch of man, come and save the creature you fashioned from the dust!"

For the month of December we'll be hosting an Advent Potluck on Friday, December 22nd at 6:30 PM in the St. Aloysius Church Basement, Room C. We'll pray the sixth of the traditional O Antiphons in the Church, sing a verse from, "O Come Emmanuel", and then head downstairs for a great meal and games!

Main course will be provided. Bring a side dish, beverage or dessert to pass!

The "O Antiphons" date as far back as the sixth century. These antiphons are added to Vespers from December 17th - December 23rd, a period known as the Golden Nights, and make up the verses of the ancient hymn, "O Come Emmanuel".

Follow the links below to read more about this beautiful and ancient custom!

See you there!
